Want to know what I’m thinking today?

Apple Cider Sangria. (1)

Besides how giddy I am that Scott Speedman is back on cable television?

Apple Cider Sangria. (2)

And besides how I don’t know if I can handle not ever knowing WHAT happened to Mark Sloan on Grey’s?

Apple Cider Sangria. (3)

That this week deserves a big, cold glass of sangria.

Apple Cider Sangria. (4)

It has been… a week. Uh huh. And it was “a week” AFTER I had this sangria last weekend. Fair? I think not.

Sooooo. You know, I’m all about the chilly weather co*cktails. Last year I made pomegranate vanilla sangria along with apple cider margaritas, and now I’m like why didn’t I ever just make apple cider sangria? I don’t know. Sometimes I am just totally clueless.

Oh and I’m also freaking out over the fact that pomegranate season is HERE! Only one of my favorite fruits, um… EVER.

Apple Cider Sangria. (5)

But it’s not about poms today, it’s all about the apples. I guess it’s been all about the apples all week, yes? Huh. Sorta crazy over them.

They only get better in sangria. Trust me.

Made this at my restaurant using 1 gal cider, 1.5L of pinot grigio, and 1L of vanilla vodka. And added a little cinnamon clove and nutmeg mix and it had been flying out

When it says cider does it mean alcoholic cider or apple juice? In the UK cider is alcoholic but my sister in law lives in America and says that cider is apple juice. Cider and wine is a pretty potent mix so just want to check!

Apple Cider in the U.S. Is non-alcoholic and more “raw.” Apple Juice is more processed. Neither contains alcohol.

This was delicious! I made it for Thanksgiving this weekend. The only change I made was to use ginger beer instead of club soda. Will definitely make again.
