“Whether you’re an amateur or a seasoned home cook, this dream job could be yours – no experience necessary,” the website says.

Here are the (few) requirements for applying, what you get if you’re chosen and how to apply to become Inspired Taste’s Chief Recipe Tester.

Can you bake as a side hustle?

No one is stopping you from selling cakes to friends and family on your own time. But if you want to make a couple of thousand dollars for trying new sweet recipes, try applying to this one-time baking gig.

  • Social Media following and experience creating social media content is a plus!
  • Must be able to provide footage and/or photos of recipes tested that Inspired Taste can use within content (crediting back to you!)

  • Must own an oven and basic kitchen utensils – specialized bakeware will be provided.

How much do recipe testers get paid?

How do you become an Inspired Taste recipe tester?

The deadline to apply to Inspired Taste’s Recipe Tester position is at midnight on March 1. Applicants who move on to interview for the position will be notified by mid-March and the winner will be announced by the end of March, according to the website.

If you’re chosen to move forward in mid-March, the Inspired Taste team will invite you to an interview, where they will assess how you fit with the team and nail down your availability to try recipes.

“The two-week cumulative testing period will be completed throughout April, giving you plenty of flexibility and time to experiment with the recipes,” the website says. “Don’t worry if you have a busy schedule; testing can be done after work hours and on weekends.”

“Please jump into this job with excitement and curiosity! While testing the recipes, you may need to try them a few times before you end up with your perfect creation.”
