Can you believe it? Ubisoft Connect is celebrating its fifth anniversary! This unified platform has become the heart of the Ubisoft gaming universe, connecting players across all platforms. Since its launch, millions of players worldwide have been logging in each month to play, connect, and share their gaming adventures.
From the very beginning, the goal was to create a seamless experience for all players, no matter how or where they play. And Ubisoft Connect has certainly delivered, bringing about some significant changes:
- Cross-progression: Launched in November 2020 with Assassin's Creed Valhalla, this feature allows you to continue your game seamlessly across different devices. Imagine picking up your game on your PC after playing on your console! It's now available in many Ubisoft titles.
- Cross-play: Also introduced in 2020, and adopted by Rainbow Six Siege in 2022, cross-play makes it easier than ever to team up with friends, regardless of their platform. This is a game-changer for multiplayer experiences!
- Cross-platform achievements: Introduced this year on PC with Assassin's Creed Shadows, and now available in over 50 Ubisoft games, achievements now sync across Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and The Epic Games Store. Finally, all your achievements in one place!
On the PC front, Ubisoft has also rolled out a redesigned PC client with a clearer and more intuitive UI, which is officially out of beta.
