Due to our proficiency of this field, we are engaged in presenting DPC- CON Protekta Rising Damp Proofing Chemical. We are presenting these products to customers within given time-frame.
Product Details:
- Protekta DPC is a low viscosity, highly penetrating silane, silanol -siloxane solution, which has been specifically formulated to permeate into wet / dry wall. Once impregnated into a course of brickwork, DPC reacts with minerals present to form a durable polymer damp course, which permanently stops rising damp
Uses:
- Protekta DPC is used to install a durable polymer damp course into brickwork or other masonry walls to permanently stop rising damp. Rising damp, is a major cause of decay to masonry materials such as stone, brick and mortar. Even when mild it can cause unsightly crumbling of exterior masonry/concrete and staining of internal finished. When severe it is a potential health hazard to building occupants due to high humidity levels and the growth of moulds.
* When coupled with high salt concentrations, severe damp can cause extensive fretting and crumbling of the lower parts of walls, requiring difficult and expensive repairs
Advantages:* Penetrates deeply into brick and other masonry substrates
* Form a durable polysiloxane damp course via chemical bonding
* Easy to use, non-corrosive and non-toxic formulation
Treatment of Rising Damp:* Rising damp in most buildings can now be treated using Protekta DPC. In this treatment the lower most layer of brick or block of effected wall is exposed and Protekta DPC is injected by drip method till masonry shows concrete wetness. The saturated brick/block layer on drying is hydrophobic, and acts as a barrier stopping rising damp
APPLICATION:* Remove plastering/skirting at the floor and wall joint
* Expose the lowest layer of brick or block
* Drill holes at 45 degree angles in the bricks towards the center of the wall almost reaching the floor wall joint
* Holes should be made at a distance of 9 apart
* Using silicone “level tubing” insert one end of tube into the drilled hole. The other end of the tubing should be placed inside the diluted and ready to use solution of Protekta DPC
* A small valve (like air control valves in fish
tanks) should be placed on the tube about 1” above where it enters the drilled hole by cutting the tube at that point and placing valve. This will allow control of flow of solution by user
* For a dry wall Protekta DPC should be diluted 1:9 with water in a large bucket
* The ready to use solution of Protekta DPC should be placed at a height of about 3 feet and the ends of the leveling tubes from each hole dropped into the solution such that the solution begins to flow through the tube and into the
drilled hole
* The flow should be adjusted to be very
slow, so that the product can thoroughly
saturate the site. Saturation points
between the drilled hole sites should merge upon full saturation. Saturation will be indicated when solution begins to flow out of the drilled hole itself. If the flow rate is too high, the overflow from the drilled holes would be misleading and visible merging of neighbouring injection site saturation would not be seen
* Once saturated, remove tubing. Plug the
holes with cement mortar and refinish the plaster and tiles
