The UAE, especially Dubai, has emerged as a popular travel destination, attracting millions of visitors from all around the world. Whether you are a first-time tourist or a frequent business traveller, obtaining a visa is an essential step to entering the UAE. An important part of the visa application process is the payment of the visa fees.

Here’s everything you need to know to about the visa fees in Dubai and the UAE for different categories of visas.

Dubai & UAE visa fees

The visa fees vary for different types of visas. Visa charges are stated on each service card on the websites of ICPandGDRFA-D, through which you can apply for visas to the UAE. All fees are accurate at the time of writing.

Dubai & UAE visit visa

As confirmed by a customer care agent at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), the prices for all types of UAE and Dubai visas, including 30 and 60 days tourist visas, have nowincreased by AED 100.

The fee for the one-month visit visa issued by the ICA, for example, has gone up from AED 270 to AED 370.According to the travel agents’ reports, the applicants are currently charged AED 500 for a 60-day tourist visa to the UAE.

Dubai & UAE tourist visa

The prices and charges of a Dubai tourist visa depend on the kind of visa you are applying for.

But to give you an idea, Emirates Airlines currently charges AED 330 for a short-term single-entry visa and AED 650 for a long-term single-entry tourist visa. Etihad currently charges AED 450 for a short-term single-entry visa and AED 750 for a long-term single-entry tourist visa. Dubai & UAE transit visa

The fee for a 96-hour transit visa has been raised to AED 50, while a 48-hour transit visa remains free of charge. The express 96-hour transit visa fee has also been increased to AED 307.22.

No fees or additional amounts can be imposed by any federal, local, or private entity. A departure fee of AED 30 is levied on each passenger passing through the UAE’s airports.

Dubai & UAE golden visa

The cost of the UAE golden visa largely depends on the type of service and visa category. The golden visa will cost between AED 2,800 and AED 3,800 for individuals applying from the UAE. Those applying outside the country will be charged anywhere between AED 3,800 and AED 4,800. In addition, the individual must also pay an application fee for the 10-year golden visa, which has been raised fromAED 50 to AED 150. This fee includes the authority’s fees, electronic services fees, and smart services fees.

The applicant must also spend approximately AED 1,000 for a medical examination and a processing charge for an Emirates ID. Additionally, they must purchase UAE health insurance, which starts at AED 800 and varies in cost.

Dubai & UAEFreelance Visa

There are four distinct costs involved in obtaining and renewing your freelance visas.

• freelance permit: The freelance permit costs AED 7,500 to be issued and renewed. It needs to be renewed annually.
• establishment card: The establishment card costs AED 2,000 to be issued and renewed. It needs to be renewed annually.
• employment visa: The 3-year-valid visa costs AED 2,750, while the 5-year-valid visa costs AED 5000. They need to be renewed every 3 and 5 years, respectively.
• residence visa:
  • if you are applying from outside the UAE, then the cost of a residence visa (valid for 3 years) cost will be:
    • AED 3,330 (Normal)
    • AED 3,900 (Express)
  • if you are applying from within the UAE, then the cost of a residence visa (valid for 3 years) cost will be:
    • AED 4,960 (Normal)
    • AED 6,340 (Express)

Thus, the total annual expense of your freelance visa would be at least AED 11,525.

The visa cost excludes health insurance but is inclusive of visa stamping, medical tests and the Emirate ID.

Dubai & UAEgreen visa

The cost of a green visa is AED 2,280. The price excludes the ID card fee, which costs around AED 575, and the medical fee, which costs AED 320 for normal services.

Keep in mind that the price is just for one individual, and the total price after the entire process of issuance may vary as it depends on the number of dependents on the sponsorship of the visa holders

The single-entry 3-month visa costs AED 600, while the multiple-entry 3-month visa costs AED 1,740.

Dubai & UAE children visa

The fees for sponsoring a children’s visa in UAE will be as follows:

• application fee – AED 350
• family personal file opening: AED 255
• entry permit:
  • if the child is inside the UAE – AED 1,170
  • if the child is outside the country – AED 492
• in-country Change of Status: AED 690
• warranty deposit (if applicable): AED 2,500 per child

Dubai & UAE work visa

According to some sources, the following are fees for a work permit in the UAE:

• category 1 – AED 300
• category 2 – AED 600 to AED 2000, depending on whether the worker is skilled or unskilled
• category 3 – AED 5000
• Dubai work visa for 2 years – AED 3000 to AED 7000
• foreign workers above 65 years old: AED 5,000 in all categories

Dubai & UAE job seeker visa

As stated by the ICP website, the visa fee for different categories of the UAE job seeker visa is as follows:

• the 60 days visa – AED 1,495
• the 90 days visa – AED 1,655
• the 120 days visa – AED 1,815

Please note that the visa price mentioned above are the total fees, including a security deposit of AED 1,025.

Dubai & UAE 1-year remote work visa

The fee for a 1-year remote work visa in UAE was USD 287 per applicant until now. However, as confirmed by a customer care agent at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), the prices for all types of UAE and Dubai visas have now increased.

Dubai & UAE residence visa

As confirmed by a typing centre agent at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), the fees for the UAE residence visa have gone up by AED 100. Therefore, currently, the price of a UAE residence visa fee for one year is AED 200.

Nonetheless, the fees will change depending on the duration of the issued visa. Please note that this may be subject to change, and you must also factor in the costs of medical insurance and insurance.

Dubai & UAE5-year UAE multi-entry visa

The fees breakdown for the 5-year UAE multi-entry visa is as follows:

For the applicants themselves

• application fee: 100 AED
• issuance fee: 500 AED
• electronic services: 50 AED

For family members

• application fee: 100 AED per person
• issuance fee: 500 AED per person
• electronic services: 50 AED per transaction

The fee for a spouse visa application is AED 268.90.

Dubai & UAEstudent visa

The visa charges may vary, depending on the university, colleges or institution that facilitates the student visa issuance. It may cost anywhere between AED 1,000 to AED 3,000 for the first-time issuance and renewal. This amount is usually paid at the time of registration.

Dubai & UAEparent visa

To apply for the UAE parent visa, the sponsor must pay around AED 3,180. The aforementioned cost excludes the refundable fee of AED 2,500.
