During a recent interview with Channels Television, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, who previously served as Special Adviser on Political Matters to Bola Tinubu, criticized the president’s performance, arguing that Nigeria’s situation has deteriorated since Tinubu took office.
Baba-Ahmed told Channels Television that he hasn’t seen any improvement in Tinubu’s records since his departure; rather, he sees the country slipping further into insecurity, with rising desperation and poverty. He also dismissed the strategy of leveraging political alliances for a second term as “poor thinking,” asserting bluntly that Tinubu would likely worsen the country’s state if he were re-elected.
