Origins and Meanings for 100 Nature Names for Boys

This is the same list of unique nature names as above, but now I’ve included the origin and the meaning as well. (and don’t worry – they’re in the exact same order as the list above, too!)

Alder:(Unknown) We aren’t totally sure where the boy name Alder originates from, but we do know the meaning is “old”, and it’s also the species of one of my favorite trees!

Angus: (English) Meaning “one”, this nature name for boys also reminds me of cattle or cows grazing in a field.

Alpine:(Scottish) This name sounds as though it’s talking about the mountains, but the actual meaning of this boys name is “fair”. Fair enough, right?

Archer: (French) Meaning “bow”, this reminds me of a hunter in the woods looking for his next meal or to find a way to provide food for his family.

Arno: (German) I have never heard this name before – but it’s turned into one of my favorite nature names for boys. The name means “eagle”.
