MSolutions' USB-C Extender Revolution: Unveiling at ISE 2026 (2026)

Imagine a world where tangled cables and complicated setups are a thing of the past. That's the promise MSolutions is making with its latest innovation, set to debut at ISE 2026 in Barcelona. This Israeli-based company, known for its AV solutions, is shaking things up with a brand-new USB-C extender designed to simplify corporate and educational AV environments.

MSolutions is introducing a groundbreaking hardware design: the world's first USB-C Extender to support DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode). This means you can now extend your display, power your device, and transmit data all through a single cable. Talk about streamlining your setup!

But here's where it gets interesting... The MS-DPA-CP, slated to ship in Q1 2026, is a plug-and-play solution that makes extending DP Alt Mode over a single category cable incredibly easy. Its sleek, compact design is perfect for modern meeting rooms and learning spaces. And the second-generation feature? It adds 60W of power for laptop charging directly from the Host Unit, keeping presenters' devices juiced up.

So, how does it work? MSolutions' engineering team has cleverly configured the USB-C ports to enable DP Alt Mode. This allows for the extension of stunning 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 18G video and USB data over a single USB-C cable, without the need for drivers or software installations. This is a significant leap forward, replacing bulky DisplayPort cables with heavy shielding and clunky connectors.

"DP Alt Mode is enabled by configuring specific pins on USB-C ports to transmit DisplayPort signals," explains Ariel Marcus, CTO of MSolutions. "Through this specialized configuration, we can eliminate bulky DisplayPort cables with heavy shielding, physical latches and metal connectors protected by large plastic housings."

MSolutions has ensured broad compatibility by testing the MS-DPA-CP with both Mac and Windows computers. It's also compatible with Neat video collaboration solutions, creating a user-friendly meeting room infrastructure that simplifies deployment and system management.

But that's not all! MSolutions will also be showcasing its complete 1Connect ecosystem in Europe. This system simplifies USB-C and HDMI connectivity over long distances, offering flexible placement options for Host and Device units. This transforms BYOD connectivity and opens up new possibilities for seamless collaboration, like dual-screen functionality.

The updated 1Connect ecosystem is built around the MS-63DOC or MS-63DOC-P Docking Extender Kit. The MS-63DOC-P kit, specifically, adds support for 60W of device charging from the Host unit.

ISE 2026 will take place from February 3rd to 6th at the Fira de Barcelona. Will you be there? What are your thoughts on this new technology? Do you think single-cable solutions are the future of AV? Share your opinions in the comments below!
