Breaking News: The SSC CGL Tier 1 Results are Coming! Are you one of the lakhs of candidates eagerly awaiting the results of the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam? Well, the wait is almost over! SSC Chairman S. Gopalakrishnan has confirmed that the results will be announced by December. This is a crucial update for all those who appeared for the exam, held between September 12 and 26, 2025, across a whopping 45 shifts.
The sheer scale of this examination is impressive. Over 28 lakh candidates registered, with 13.5 lakh actually taking the test across 255 centers in 126 cities. That's a lot of people and logistics!
But here's where it gets interesting: the question challenge process. This process, which took place from October 17 to 19, 2025, allowed candidates to raise objections to the questions. The commission received around 1,000 objections, which is quite a significant number.
The Chairman explained that the results are taking a bit longer due to this challenge process. Each of the 45 question papers, with about 4,500 questions in total, is now under review. If any corrections are needed, they will be made before the final results are released. This entire process is expected to take over a month, pushing the result announcement to November or December.
The good news is that the results are definitely coming by December, at the latest. The Tier-2 exams are expected to follow in January or February.
The response sheets, released on October 17, 2025, provide candidates with details like their roll number, name, exam and post names, exam date, test time, and the questions they answered.
