It's every man's desire to court a beautiful girl, draw her attention and finally win her over. Most men relish the thrill of the chase more than the conquest. It is also the perpetual need of men to prove that they are desirable.
Visit to a dance bar is about satisfying one's ego. There are girls dancing for them (or so they feel) and it gives you a high. Prettier the girl, more dough she will make for obvious reasons. But, that is not the only attraction. What is more alluring is how alluring and enticing she behaves with the patron.
Showering money at dancers has more to do with the Alpha male syndrome. The person showering the money is not really trying to impress the girl but is sending out signals to other men that he is the dominant one.
