You can delete sites that you're not using, directly from the Wix Owner app. Once you delete a site, it becomes unpublished and you can no longer edit it. If you decide you need it again, you can restore it within 90 days. After 90 days, your site will be permanently deleted.

Deleting a site

When removing a site from the Wix owner app, you have several options – hide it from the site list, move it to the trash folder or permanently delete it. Once a site is permanently deleted, you cannot restore it.

Once you move a site to the trash folder, you can restore it within 90 days. If you do not restore your site within 90 days, it will be permanently deleted.

To delete a site:

  1. Tap the More Actions icon Wix Owner App: Deleting or Restoring a Site | Help Center | Wix.com (2)at the top right.
  2. Tap Edit site list.
  3. Tap the More Actions icon Wix Owner App: Deleting or Restoring a Site | Help Center | Wix.com (3)next to the relevant site.
  4. Choose to hide the site from your site list or move your site to the trash:
    • Hide from list: Your site will no longer be visible from the site list drop-down.
    • Move your site to the trash: Your site remains in the trash and you can decide to permanently delete it or restore it.
      1. Tap Move to trash.
      2. Tap Move to Trash to confirm.
    • Permanently delete a site: When you permanently delete a site, all site and member data will be erased and you cannot restore it.
      1. Tap Trash at the top.
      2. Tap the More Actions icon Wix Owner App: Deleting or Restoring a Site | Help Center | Wix.com (4)next to the site you want to delete.
      3. Tap Delete.
      4. Tap Yes, delete to confirm.

Restoring a site from the trash

If you change your mind and want to restore a deleted site, you can do so from the site list.

Note:

It is not possible to restore a site you permanently deleted.

To restore a site from the trash:

  1. Go to your site in theWix Owner app.
  2. Tap the drop-down at the top of the screen to open the site list.
  3. Tap the More Actions icon Wix Owner App: Deleting or Restoring a Site | Help Center | Wix.com (5)at the top right.
  4. Tap Edit site list.
  5. Tap Trash.

  1. Tap the More Actions icon Wix Owner App: Deleting or Restoring a Site | Help Center | Wix.com (7) next to the site you want to restore.
  2. Tap Restore.
  3. Tap Restore to confirm.
    Note: Once you restore a site, it is moved back to your site list and remains unpublished until you publish it again.

Moving a site to the trash folder means your site will no longer be available, whether it's from desktop or mobile.

Once you move a site to the trash folder, you can restore it within 90 days. If you do not restore your site within 90 days, it will be permanently deleted.

It's not possible to move a Premium site to the trash folder. If you wish to do so, first cancel or reassign the Premium plan to another site in your account.

You can send a request to delete your account from the Wix Owner app if you want your account information permanently deleted from the Wix databases.
