Ranjangaon, a Five Star Industrial Zone situated on Pune-Ahmednagar Highway, located at a distance of about 56km fromPune. It has been a centre of attraction for prospective Industries since its inception due to cheap land rate, proximity to Mumbai and Pune and availability of good infrastructure. Industries have been set up on the leasehold land allotted by MIDC for 95 yrs. INFRASTUCTURE

Ranjangaon industrial areas is termed as the five star Industrial area due to infrastructure facilities like electricity, water and roads availability. Other infrastructure like street lights, drainage lines are available along with a MSEB substation and a telephone exchange in Ranjangaon Industrial Area.

Telecommunication Facility and Broadband

A dedicated electronic telephone exchange, with 360 lines and 512 PC-DOT has been set up by the Department of Telecommunications with ISDN facility. The exchange is connected to Pune with Optical Fibre Cable for fast connectivity. Internet speed of up to 32 mbps can be obtained.

Water

There is no water scarcity as the requirement of the industries is met from Chinchani Dam one of the reliable source of water supply.

Roads

Good wide roads using modern techniques having International standards with aligned pavement, underground drainage, underground cablings etc. are available in the MIDC which can cater for Trucks and containers movements.

Electricity

MIDC and MSEB has set up a substation of 220 KVA providing power supply without voltage fluctuation to the area. The extra high voltage substation has a total capacity of 150 MVA. The entire Industrial Area is lit up by 2,000 street lights, which are fully operational

Fire

MIDC has provided Fire Stations in the industrial area.

Common Effluent Disposal Facility

A common effluent treatment plant is commissioned having capacity of 11.5 MLD. The underground drainage collected and disposal system is installed.

AVAILABILITY OF RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION AND MANPOWER

A 160 hectares residential area is reserved, out of which 35 hectares has been developed with basic facilities like water, electricity and roads. Land is available for the promotion of a number of recreational activities like Amusem*nt Parks, Golf Course, Convention Centres, Water Sports, Arts and Craft village and Resorts and other tourism facilities.
