Ghost writers are writers who will compose an article, book or other written medium without having their name attached to the finished products. Ghost writers are often used for children's books and other fiction series that have multiple authors, and no one true author, such as the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, which are united by a ghost writer.Since the true identity of the author is never known, or is obscured by a pseudonym, the product has been "ghost" written.
Contact a local community or junior college and ask if you would be allowed to come and talk about ghost writing. Ultimately, offer the ghost writing opportunity to students in the class. Not only will it be technical experience that is greatly needed, but it will also provide them with a reference for future work, in lieu of payment. Many college students work unpaid internships, and are not unfamiliar with the idea of working for experience.
Post an advertisem*nt on a job board or community board, such as Craigslist. Be sure to write your advertisem*nt in a way that proves that it is not a scam, as scams are quite common in online job hunting. Mention your phone number, website or e-mail specifically in the description. Sell the task which you need ghost-written; be sure that the writer reading the post feels that there is something for him or her to get out of the experience.
Offer established writers a deal in exchange for their free work. Many writers desire publication with their name, and in the very least they desire future work. Offer the writer the opportunity for paid work in the future, if the ghost writing project is performed for free.
Writing is typically not a highly paid profession, and those who do make a living solely from writing may tend to be insensitive to the idea that someone wants a project ghost written gratis. Use tact in your approach to this task of getting a free ghost writer, and be prepared for failure.
