Manually Create Spec Sections (2024)

Objective

Tocreate a new spec section in your project'sSpecifications tool.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions:
  • 'Admin' level permissions on the Specifications tool.
• Additional Information:
  • Whenever you upload specifications to the Specifications tool, Procore will automatically divideyour specifications (PDF) into individualdivisions and spec sections using OCR technology. SeeUpload Specifications.
  • You are able to manually create spec sections, but you cannot upload a PDF to the spec section. To create spec sections linked to specification PDFs, seeUpload Specifications.

Steps

1. Navigate to the project'sSpecificationstool.
2. ClickManually Create Spec Sections.
3. Choose a division into which the new spec section will be added.
4. Provide a number for the new spec section.
   Note: You cannot usea number that is currently associated with another spec section.
5. Provide adescriptive title for the spec section.
6. ClickAdd.
