Creating recipes to use my sourdough discard is one of my favorite pastimes. I stick my discard in lots of different recipes and share them here, on my website. You can turn your own favorite recipes into sourdough recipes using information found here. Sometimes the idea of sourdough discard can be confusing. At its most simple – discard is excess sourdough starter that is no longer active and is used in recipes for moisture, flavor and to avoid wasting it. You can read more about sourdough discard here. Hi Amy I just wanted to thank you for all the knowledge & recipes that you share on Instagram. I absolutely love following you for all your creative ideas when it comes to baking and I am very grateful to be following someone like you & yes there’s others I follow that’s how I decided to jump in and not be afraid to make sourdough…so I did…I’ve been on my journey of sourdough baking for a little over a year now and there’s so much more to learn.
